Aztec and Smokey Bear spend 4 or 5 days a week in the snow at Embundo Canyon (Indian School) between November and April. It is amazing that the lion (Aztec) is running in the snow with the wild Bear. Aztec had luxated patellas and had knee surgery at age 1 and then (after chasing a cat) knee surgery on his other knee at age 3. He apparently injured his back when chasing the cat. Aztec is running around like a speeding demon and is acting like a puppy. Thanks to Dr. McGuires ability to make early and complex diagnosis and provide excellent treatment, Aztec is like a mountain goat. Aztec takes rimadyl and gabapentine daily.
