BAPTISM: THE GATEWAY FOR NEW COVENANT PEOPLE First Lesson: Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Golden Text: Romans 6:7-6 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BAPTISM: Beloved, the various unwholesome behaviors you demonstrate in the kingdom is an unmistakable indication of the fact that you do not know the essence of baptism as practiced in the kingdom. Now I will unfold the significance of baptism to you. Baptism signifies rebirth; it means being born again as an entirely new creature. It marks a departure from carnality, segregation, violence, idolatry and various other atrocious acts. But the reverse is the case with most of you. Rather then discontinuing with sinfulness after baptism, you plunge your so even deeper in it. Such persistence in sin reveals your ignorance of the essence of baptism. The fact is that who ever undergoes baptism in the kingdom automatically dies and resurrects with Christ and hence-forth, such a person should purge himself of all forms of carnal intentions and vices. THOSE WHO ARE BORN AGAIN: It is ridiculous that the worldly people claim to be born again even when they do not know the meaning of the phrase. Anyone who is actually born again neither imputes sin to his neighbor, segregates against people, gets exasperated nor is any iota of sin found in him. This is because he who is born again has died and resurrected with Christ, and is therefore sinless. Being born again does not constitute in going to church, prayer house, seminar and belonging to one religious body or the other. Rather one who is born again has completely purged himself of all forms of carnality and has allowed the spirit to take perfect dominion over him. Re-examine the First Lesson. FIRST LESSON: ROMANS 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. THE COVENANT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS: Beloved, The text just re-examined constitutes the new covenant, which God made with the house of Israel. If you have been a slave to sin, you are now advised to relinquish all acts of unrighteousness and allow the Spirit of God rule over you. There is a great need for you as a man who is born again to refrain from all manners of carnality and sanctify yourself. Hold fast to the lyrics of this spiritual chorus rendered in brotherhood of the Cross and star that: I HAVE WASHED MY LEGS AND MY HANDS; I NO LONGER LEAD THE WORLDLY LIFE THAT I USED TO, BUT NOW I AM WITH GOD. When ever and where ever you find a member of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star indulging in Sin, remind him of the vow made through this song. This will call him to order. By going back to embrace unrighteousness, you have rendered useless God covenant with you as spelt out in the First Lesson. Is it not amazing that you should go back to sinfulness after having died and resurrected with Christ? Read this biblical excerpt: Hebrews 8:10-12. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: and they shall teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. THE AGE OF THE NEW COVENANT: Evidently, we are now living for Christ and for that reason we should desist from indulging in unwholesome acts. Now we belong to the family of Christ. It is not surprising that those who had vowed not to follow God are wholeheartedly embracing him today. This spiritual song, THE COVENANT HAS GONE, THE COVENANT OF MOSES, LOVE IS THE NEW COVENANT reveals a very important point. Actually this is the age of the new covenant, which is love. But if I may ask, do you believe what the song says? It is true that though most of you have been in brotherhood of the Cross and star for donkey years and have undergone baptism for more than one time, after which, you will still wallow in carnality, anger, violence and other repulses acts. This attitude clearly proves that you do not know your destination. The new covenant is the only avenue through which you can gain salvation into the kingdom of God. It is for this reason that in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, we do not sue people to court, eject people from the kingdom impute sin to others and do other things that are capable of rendering useless the new covenant entered into with God. In Brotherhood of the Cross and Star we do all we can to emulate CHRIST. Since we have died and resurrected with him, we should in all respect lead a life worthy of emulation. Undoubtedly, a man cannot live in spirit and at the same time in flesh. Similarly, a man cannot combine vices and virtue, for a servant cannot serve two masters at a time. So beloved, in order not to have problems you should hold fast to God as one who has died, resurrected and have been purged of all forms of carnality. Baptism plays a very significant role in a mans life. Whoever is baptized and adheres strictly to the rules guiding such baptism is greater then any worldly power and as such is insurmountable and indestructible. A BRIEF TESTIMONY: A certain brother from Abuja testified to the great significance of baptism in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The brother said he once had a friend who was incessantly taking ill as a result of the fact that his spirit was hung somewhere in the village where his father happen to be the ruling head. But his friends, health condition changed automatically when he accepted baptism in brotherhood of the cross and star he became well healthy and energetic. This is an affirmation as well as an assurance that once you except baptism into the kingdom you become fortified from your destructors no matter the extent of the malicious plans made against you. Having fully understood the significance of baptism and have received spiritual rebirth, why do you still go back to your traditional religion, cults, practices of diabolism and sinfulness? Whoever does this could be likened to a dog that after regurgitating goes back to eat its vomit and a pig that wallows in the mud after having taken a bath. SALVATION FROM THE NEW COVENANT: Those who have died and resurrected with Christ are living in heaven, and what is expected from you is complete devotion to the father’s service by day and night surging ahead uncomplainingly and without regrets. You were bought with a price into the kingdom and it was for your sake that the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ was shed. This being the case, your life is dedicated to his services and you have been removed from the world. But for this new covenant the whole world would have perished. And now that the father through his infinite mercy has made a new covenant with mankind so that we would be saved, whoever therefore violates it shall be doomed. Do you not know that all those who partake of the new covenant must disassociate from anger, segregation, carnality and other worldly vices? It is only the father who is ruling supreme. You have been removed from the world and so you must disentangle from the world and the things therein. The world no longer has control over you and you too do not have anything to do with the world anymore. It is ridiculous to find many people in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star who drink the holy oil, observe fasting and other practices in the kingdom without having accepted baptism, and these people still claim to belong to the kingdom. I am stating succinctly that whoever does not except baptism is condemn no matter the magnitude of all other services rendered by him in the kingdom. Brother Aggawal of India refused baptism because he knew what baptism signifies. Brother Aggawal understood the fact that whoever except baptism invariably has waved bye to various fetish, diabolical practices and sinfulness. Irrefutably, none of these diabolical activities can be effective anymore immediately after receiving baptism. The water that is used for your baptism represents the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is why you are transformed into a new creature and you know longer have any association with the world and worldly things. THE TESTIMONIES OF BAPTISM: As a new creature, you are an embodiment of God and youre only weapon should be the word which is capable of transforming our effecting any change. Since you have been born of water and Spirit you have denied the world and the things therein. Late brother Etiebet (Snr.) had houses and allowed diabolism to take dominion over his houses, but the moment he excepted baptism into Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, all the charms, amulet, and fetish things were destroyed. This opened a new chapter in his life; he began to lead a completely new and free life. Many other people who have accepted baptism into the kingdom have equally had similar testimonies. Re-examine the golden text. GOLDEN TEXT: ROMANS 6:7-9 For he that is dead is free from sin. BAPTISM THE SECRET IN THE KINGDOM: Death no longer has dominion over you once you have accepted baptism into the kingdom. This is the reason why whenever you get into any shrine, the charms and various principalities are rendered ineffective or destroyed completely. Anybody who uses his money to consult necromancers, juju Priests and witch doctors so that a child of Gods kingdom may be eliminated is merely wasting his time, money and efforts. Note that no such thing has dominion over you again since you have died and resurrected with Christ. It is for this reason that we are advised to demonstrate deeds of righteousness. Eschew sin for you have been purified by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. The only secret in the kingdom is baptism. Right from the moment you are baptized into the kingdom your entire activities in life are monitored and controlled by the Holy Spirit. Most of you render this spiritual course: RIGHT FROM THE DAY I ACCEPTED BAPTISM, I HAVE GOT PEACE. Without knowing its meaning. The meaning of the song is that from the moment of baptism, righteousness becomes your watchword. And having accepted baptism, automatically you have disengaged from family affairs, traditions, worldly gathering and practices. The father through this spiritual song, THE WAY I HAVE HELD YOU, I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU, FOR IF I LEAVE YOU, THE ENEMIES WOULD OVERCOME YOU. Has assured us of this maximum protection. At baptism, you made a promise to God to deny the world and serve him alone. You should now remember the promise. Let the fact that now that you have accepted baptism, you are no more overpowered by sin; always be in your mind. SEEK THE SPIRITUAL PATH: God has strongly enjoined you to always use righteousness to overcome evil and not allowing evil to triumph over you. The flesh is always engaging in sinful acts and besides it is lifeless. Having known this fact, why do you continue adoring the flesh with gold, Silver and other precious ornaments? It is only the spirit that is forever victorious. Beloved, you should always think of doing what is pleasing to the spirit, because the spirit is the only source of salvation. Thousands of people do not have share in the kingdom because of their carnal mindedness. What is required from us is the protection of Gods interest in everything. For keeping that commandment of God, you are a known citizen in heaven because your name is written in the book of life. All the things you do should be spiritual for your treasure is kept in the new kingdom of God, which is Brotherhood of the Cross and Star revealed among men. THE HEIR TO THE KINGDOM: God is your father and you are his children, and for that reason all the things such as peace, joy and eternal life are meant for you. You are neither a stranger nor illegitimate in the kingdom, but an heir. The world and the various churches that spring everywhere lead to damnation. You are therefore advised not to pay attention to them. Rather, You should place Paramount importance to the divine call extended to you by God in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The father, son and the Holy Spirit have recognized you, it is now incumbent on you to return that recognition since you are a child of life and child of God. The things that rule over you are love, peace, joy, happiness and all other virtues. So you do not have any affinity with poverty, lamentation, hunger, sorrow, illness or death. Beloved, a stroke of cane is sufficient for the wise. He that has ears to hear let him hear what the Holy Spirit has imparted to the whole world. May God bless his holy words. Amen THANK YOU FATHER.
