BBSI is currently recruiting for Forklift/Scanner Operator. Forklift/Scanner operator is an individual who operates the equipped industrial forklift to move materials n the warehouse region and to load and unload truck trailers or shipping containers. Operators maintain the equipment, machines, and electrical components. Understands RF scanning and is very familiar with computers. Applicant must have a valid driver license, willing to work overtime and weekends, and have your own vehicle to get to and from work. Essential Job Functions (listing most important first): 1.Maintains a safe and clean work environment throughout the plant, according to GMP and Safety Guidelines. Organizing and securing stored materials such as bales, super sacks, boxes, pallets, and so on. 2.Scanning product numbers and loading them into a computer based inventory system 3.The work is physically demanding standing for long periods of time. Generally the job requires lifting of 50 lbs on average though out the shift, 75% standing bending. 4.Consulting, working, and coordinating with supervisors, managers, equipment manufactures, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations. Essential Job Requirements: EDUCATION Speaking and listening skills, deductive reasoning capabilities and strong organizational skills. EXPERIENCE RF Scanning and Forklift REQUIRED SKILLS Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English. Safety oriented can follow rules and regulations. PREFERRED SKILLS Attention to detail, computer knowledge PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Workers are typically required to lift heavy packages (50lbs). Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling and moving about the facility A good sense of balance, the ability to judge distances and eye-hand-foot coordination are all important skills for a forklift operator. They must also be able to count, stack, categorize, relocate and pile up the product. Before each operation, the forklift operator is expected to check the machine and see it in proper functioning order. ***Must have a valid Driver License.
