BEAUTY! BEAUTY! BEAUTY! This senior citizen believes,Canadian people who livethis spiritual philosephy of faith healthand wellnesscan and will lead us out of the disasterous mess we are in right now and in days to come when the situation appears unsolveable . Years ago,I attended a storytelling/singing symposium of Canadians, First Nations peoples and other Canadians.There were many beautiful and incredible stories and ancient songs but one story remained with me for over 35 years. It was a story told by Upper Canada ancient original peoples about hope and salvation.Those people had no idea about what or why they were to tell that story.It was one of many they told at night around the community fire. After many years of fighting and violence the Chiefs of the different Tribes came together to Plant a cedar tree. The Chiefs wanted to put an end to the eternal fighting and to create a better way for the people to live.The story tellers told of much danger and a very powerful a white-haired man from a far distant who brought many many incredable gifts but BEWARE! BEWARE!In his one hand is a claw the other a cedar bough. His gifts made our lodges many but from the one hand came death and destruction and the other peace and growth.The people forgot their teachings and became slave to the claw and copper.Devastation prevailed and all the people from all the Nations wept and clawed the ground as the smoke rose up from the burned cedar. From the center came white men and women who carried a medicine pouch around their neck seeking two spirited persons who had healing energy.From these white men/women and the original people would come the solution to save us all. Again all peoples would live in peace in the center of the circle beside the great cedar.
