BEWARE - Long status! . . . On this day 20something years ago, I was rushed to the hospital from the doctors office. As is routine, the exam began with checking the heartbeat, then all other vitals. Despite everything seeming ok, the doctor rechecked the heartbeat. It was beginning to slow. After being monitored for what seemed like an eternity, the dreaded news came. Apparently the cord was around babys neck, making it difficult to receive oxygen. Ambulance took too long so dr and staff threw me into nurses car and rushed me across the street to Northside Hospital. I remember shaking and trembling so hard and being scared to death! I remember everyone rushing and looks of what appeared like panic on their faces. I also remember the anesthesiologist asking if I wanted to remain awake during the emergency procedure and my doctor practically cursing him out, saying absolutely not! Fast forward . . . While in recovery room (and trying to rush myself to consciousness, I heard nurses say something about the baby not making it (my heart dropped), then another telling me that she was pretty sure Id had a boy. Needless to say, baby DID make it and baby wasnt a boy, but a beautiful 7lb 13oz girl. Its no wonder how and why this baby girl who came into this world with such an dramatic entrance, grew up to be the gifted and talented young lady that she is today. Always loving the spotlight and being on stage as the main attraction!! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my star! What a ride its been and What an awesome journey awaits you! I love you to the moon and back!! ❤️❤️
