BEWARE, BE WARNED, BE VIGILLANT. They openly gave the President a shameless condition that if we are to support your ambition, EFCC must not come after us when we leave office in 2015....And he that was given this condition accepted it......Ha! What have they turned this nation to????? A land of living rogues????? I remember vividly in 2007, immediately after he handed over, Bola Tinubu proceeded straight, without invitation, to the EFCC Headquarters in Abuja to present himself for scrutiny and official examination. He spent a whole day there answering questions and clearing his name. He was later released after over 13 hours of intense drilling! This happened at a time when all the retiring pdp governors had run away from the country, having lost their immunities. Again, Tinubu was the only ex-governor in Nigeria who appeared at the Code of Conduct Bureau on charges bodering on corruption. He didnt run away neither did he decamp to the pdp, yet, he was discharged and acquitted! That is the true picture of a proper and undiluted Omoluabi. Today, in the same country, we see people running to join the ruling party mainly to avoid corruption charges. We see a party whose major campaign tool is immunity against prosecution.....No wonder the party has become the traditional home for looters and hooligans! In a sane, sensible and civilized environment, damning charges of corruption is enough for a political office holder to quit his job but not here. We see people who have looting cases in court warming up to secure immunized political positions. In Oyo state, two leading Governorship aspirants have damning cases of corruption(ranging from looting to outright stealing) before them, they are in court and yet they are in the race. WHAT A SHAME, WHAT A SHAME, WHAT A SHAME! In Ogun State, there is one who has international criminal charges on his neck and the other who bought a national asset with peanuts and now answering charges in court. . These two are also in the race for governorship in that state. Osun state averted what would have been a disastrous end for sanity in the SW by standing firm and solid in defence of sanctity of human dignity and godliness. Fountain of rice did not do that. They willingly gave immunity to someone who is answering charges on corruption bothering on how he squandered their resources. They shouted Give us Barabbas.... And now they have him at the expense of their peace. They dont tell a gullible child not to contact leprosy, provided the child can stay all alone in the evil forest. Happy Weekend.
