***BEWARE***Boy the scammers are really out there scamming people...or trying to! Ive seen news reports on people scamming houses for RENT when in fact its for SALE! I was helping my cousin look for house to rent...found one for a decent price utilities included! Contacted the person via Trulia because thats where I found the house. Corresponded with the homeowner via email. He says he was a missionary with family that had to move due to work, etc. We sent him an application got approved immediately. ..wanted us to send deposit + however many months of rent we would like to pay upfront, etc. Told us not to contact the agent because they werent trustworthy blah blah blah...pretty adamant that we didnt contact the agent selling the house as a matter of fact! Anyhoo...so many red flags via our email exchanges I called the agent. She told me it was in fact a scam!!!
