BEYOND REDEMPTION I read the article. All well and good that he has been talking to kids about not fighting dogs. As he should,for at the very least he can help keep them from following in his footsteps,and going to prison. As with any abuser however,do you ever give them another chance? A pedophile will tell you he will commit again,someone who abuses kids is never to be trusted again with a child,it is not worth the risk that the next blow will end a childs life,not to mention that if they survive it,they will be scarred,and very likely repeat the same pattern of abuse when they get the chance.. So it is ,for me,the same with animals,they are voiceless,helpless,and it cannot be risked that the old Mike,the one I associate with that horrific vision of the dog hanging in the tree,the one I associate with the hell on earth he created for those dogs is lurking behind that mask,that thin veneer of rehabilitation. How does he feel about dogs,what he did,the pain and misery he caused? Only he knows for sure... I do know this. I ,for one, think it would be unconscionable to even consider giving him another chance to destroy an innocent life. What is the man behind the mask? Who is he? Monster? Or Man,or are they not one and the same ,as we have seen millions of times. He is a man,an evil monster, that for the sheer pleasure,the thrill of it,created a hell on earth for dogs,and is a murderer,not WAS a murderer. IS and always will be. There is no redemption for him that should allow for him to own animals. He lost that divine privilege when he chose the path of evil. He did not commit unspeakable atrocities even for the money,he had plenty of money,which he chose to spend on making that living hell for the dogs extra special. Let it not be forgotten by him that we know he did what he did for his own sick ,twisted enjoyment,and that we know from experience,that that kind of psychopathic tendencies will always be lurking behind the mask of the New Mike. A psychopath,and a sociopath,have NEVER been cured,I have done intensive studies on this,and I mean all the way back to the 1700s,NO CURE,NO PILL,NO TREATMENT,NO REHAB. They only become smarter,and they put on a better mask,and they carry on business as usual,not caring who they hurt,only caring if they are happy,their needs are met,and they do whatever brings them gratification,and could not possibly care any less who they hurt in the process,in fact,if it hurts someone it brings them even more pleasure. So,is this man remorseful? I see no signs of that. Does he wish to make everyone see him as the New and improved Mike ,so we will trust him ,and give him praise for all the good he is doing after his ruthless,heartbreaking killing spree? Oh yes. Because even after the vile things he has done,he has the nerve ,the gall,to go back into the limelight,take the key to the city,pretend that he is suddenly a good samaritan that loves and cares about animals,which someone who did what he did CANNOT,the truth of the matter is, he wants what he wants,people to worship,and idolize him,think he is a good guy,he still thinks he deserves our respect,and forgiveness,and that he should have his cake and eat it too. No. His penance should remain,that he will live his life time,knowing that while he fooled a few,most of us know what lies behind the mask of a man,is actually a monster,a monster who will never be entrusted with the precious gift of the love an animal can give him. He wasted that gift,he could have been revered and held in the highest regard,and been one of the luckiest men on earth,to have the love,trust,and adulation of those dogs,nothing gets better than that. No,New Mike we will NOT give you another chance to do grave harm to another innocent creature that trusts you. You can play football,talk to kids,make yourself into whatever man you wish to be,but you will not do it with a faithful sidekick at your heel. That is your penance,and it is better than you deserve,you should be lying next to the dogs you murdered,not walking around getting pats on the back,job well done,here is the key to our city.Your an incurable disease,without the common decency to lower your head in shame.
