BHm -Cars No 26 Opel GT A two seater sports car first presented as a styling exercise in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt Motor shows and then introduced as a production model in late 1968. The Opel, a subsidiary of general Motors. It relied partly on components from the contemporary Opel Cadette B and had a body made by the French contractor Brissoneaux & Lotz. The styling had been linked to the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette which went on sale Septmber 1967 and that in turn was styled after the 1964 Pontiac Banshee. The assembly was in Bochum with a rear wheel drive and choice of two engine sizes which were 1078 or 1897 cc. Its length is 161.9 in by a width of 62.2 in. The car weighs in at 845-940 kg
