BJP continues with its campaign for collecting donations for Uttakhand In continuation of party’s campaign under “Bharatiya Janata Party Uttrakhand Aapda Raahat Kosh” to collect donations from the general public for the people affected in Uttrakhand, a team of party activists under the leadership of Talab Tillo Mandal President Ayodhya Gupta set up stall in Bakshi Nagar and also went around the market with Donation Box. State Vice-President Vibodh Gupta, while briefing about the campaign, said that the recent incident of nature’s fury in Uttrakhand has caused heavy loss of precious lives besides damaging immovable properties of hundreds of crores has shook the whole nation and there is grief amog the Indian citizens. Although we can not bring back the lives but can extend some help to the injured and those who got their belongings and houses damaged in this tragic incident.He appealed the people to donate voluntarily and be part of a noble cause. State General Secretary Kavinder Gupta, on this occasion, advised the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath ji to get themselves registered before leaving for Pahalgam or Baltal so that they do not face any problem. He also asked the government to adopt friendly approach towards the yatris who are coming from different parts of the country and avoid any use of police force. Mandal President Ayodhya Gupta said that the campaign launched by the party at District and Mandal levels is getting overwhelming response from the people and appreciation for undertaking work of human service. He said that during the day long campaign, the party activists reached hundrerds of people and received donations, which are to be later sent to Party Headquarter at New Delhi which will be further sent to Uttrakhand to be donated for the help of the affected people. Vibodh Gupta, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma, Munish Sharma, Balbir Ram Rattan, Narsingh Dass Rajwal, Sanjay Baru, Prem Gupta, Surinder Choudhary, Raj Kumar, Faqir Chand Bhagat, Chetan Mehra, Sat Pal Karlupia, Rajeshwar Raju, Naresh Thappar took part in it. Similar exrecise was undertaken in Satwari area by Satwari Mandal President Sat Pal Choudhary and State Media Secretary Pt. Ashok Kumar, where the party activists had set up a stall with Donation Box. A large number of people from all walks of life thronged the venue to donate. Pitamber Sharma, Ludharmani Sharma, Ashok Ralyal, Naresh Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Vijay Sharma accompanied the party leaders for the campaign.
