BJP extends Jammu bandh call for another 48 hours; demanded sacking of MOS Home Kichloo BJP deputes delegation to Kishtwar AJAZ RISHU Jammu, August 10. BJP has given call to extend the Jammu bandh by next 48 hours demanding sacking of J&K MoS Home Sajjad Kichloo. The party also demanded compensation of Rs. 10 lakh each to the family of those killed, full compensation for the loss of properties, suspension of DIG Doda Range and SP Doda, registration of FIRs against the minister and both police officials under Section 302. The decision to extend the bandh call by 48 hours was taken in a meeting held between the BJP leaders and heads of various Trade, Commerce, Transport, Bazars, religious and social organizations. The party was represented by its president Jugal Kishore Sharma and senior leaders Ashok Khajuria, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Kavinder Gupta and Rajesh Gupta. While the associations were represented by Chamber of Commerce Sr. Vice-president Shyam Langer, Rajput Sabha President Narayan Singh, Chamber Vice-president Anil Gupta, Raghunath Bazar Trader Association Ved Khullar, Trade Association President Vijay Gupta, Tanker & Pump Association President Anan Sharma, Chamber Ex-General Secretary Mohan Lal Motial, President Malhotra Mohalla Trader Association Anil Sharma, Rashtriya Wadi Shiv Sena President Kuldeep Luthra, Cashier Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj President Sat Pal Samotra, Bus Stand Shopkeepers Association President Madhu Sharma, Business Man Associaton Old hospital Road President Yudhvir Sethi, All J&K Wrestling Association Chairman Prem Choudhary, Karyana Trader Association Yash Pal Gupta, Lakhdatta Bazaar Sarafa Traders President Vijay Kumar. It was unanimously decided that the 48 hours time should be given to the government to accept all the demands failing which the bandh may be further extended after the consultations with all the concerned. Meanwhile a high level BJP delegation today left for Kishtwarto make an on the spot assessment of the situation following yesterday’s communal riot. The state BJP has deputed National Executive Member & former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh, National Executive Member & Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, Migrant cell National Co-Convenor Chander Mohan Sharma, State General Secretary Bali Bhagat and State Secretary Munish Sharma for this. These five leaders will interact with members of civil society and also hold meetings with the local administration before returning back and submit detailed factual report on the ground situation to the party high command. Their tour is also expected to boost the morale of the minority community and the party activists in Kishtwar. It may be recalled that the party Central High Command has taken serious notice of the development there and decided to depute party delegation from Jammu as well as New Delhi.
