***BLIZZARD & WINTER STORM WARNINGS ISSUED*** The NWS has put out a Blizzard and Winter Storm Warnings for most areas. If you look at the 2 hazard maps, the dark red is a Blizzard Warning and pink is a Winter Storm Warning. Darker blue is a Winter Storm Watch and purple is a Winter Weather Advisory. The warnings go into effect at around noon tomorrow and last until midnight Wednesday. The other 2 pictures I have included are the storm total snow maps from both NWS Upton and NWS Mt. Holly. Clearly, you can expect incredible snowfall accumulations over the NYC area, CT, LI, and northern NJ. Amounts are still significant in central and southern NJ. It is crucial that you wrap up all preparations NOW. Snow is expected to begin tomorrow morning. Travel is not recommended at all Monday afternoon into Monday night. State of Emergencies are expected. If you can, STAY HOME. School closures are likely for Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday. Stay tuned for updates. BE SAFE!!! - Matt
