BMT Oceanica recently sponsored the award of the Marine Science Prize to University of Western Australia student, Natalie Joyce. This is an annual sponsorship to acknowledge academic achievement and encourage a career in the marine environmental field. Not only did Natalie achieve the highest course-weighted average mark in Marine Biology, Marine and Coastal Management, she has also successfully completed a Geology major, a separate degree in Fine Arts and intends to undertake Honours next year. On receiving her prize, Natalie commented: “I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank BMT Oceanica for generously donating the Marine Science prize that I received and for their commitment to encouraging students within the Marine Science discipline, it has really meant a lot to me to be the recipient of that encouragement.” ow.ly/xiqGm
