BOKER TOV! HAPPY GLORIOUS MORNING TO ALL! Today is Kislev 23 and it is the Second Day called Yon Sheni. It is about 53° here in my little part of the world. It is rainy and the weather people say it is going to get colder this evening. First and foremost...A BIG THANK YOU to all who prayed for my grandsons friend. His surgery went well. He will be going back to surgery in a few weeks to have his tonsils removed. And he will do great then too! Granddaughter Arrin is having her first band concert tonight. We are very excited. She has done very well learning to play her trombone. I am very proud of her! MAY WE ALL TRULY REJOICE AT THIS WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. LET US REMEMBER..IT IS NOT A MAGICAL TIME....OUR ELOHIM DOES NOT DEAL IN MAGIC......BUT HE DOES WORK IN MIRACLES AND HANUKKAH IS THE TIME OF MIRACLES. LET THEM HAVE THEIR MAGIC..I WOULD RATHER HAVE THE MIRACLES THAT HASHEM CAN GIVE TO ME! Speaking of magic......we are bombarded with the commercials about the pagan magic of their season. All are very disgusting. I know it is hard to watch them but sometimes we should just to see and understand the mentality of the influences being put out there on the so unsuspecting public. One such commercial is particularly disturbing......it is from Kohl Department Stores. A father is taking his son to see something his Dad took him to see as a child. The son is not interested. Then after they are there.....the reindeer..or whatever it is....leaps into the sky and flies. The boys eyes widen and he speaks to his father who has a misty look in his eyes. In the back ground is the song..Strange Magic by Electric Light Orchestra. What better song could have been chosen? They have said all that should be said. STRANGE MAGIC! They are telling everyone just what it is at this time of year! And I am sure all those who believe in the magic are misty eyed too when they see this commercial....as if the deers really do fly!
