The hottest female singer in the country at this time was Donna Summer, who could do no wrong as the Queen of Disco. When it was suggested to her that Barbra Streisand would love to do a duet with her, she jumped on it. What they put down in that studio was simply magic -- No More Tears (Enough Is Enough, written by Paul Jabara and Bruce Roberts, slammed up the Top 40 a huge 23 notches on this day in 1979 from No. 33 to No. 10. Three weeks later, it was at No. 1, where it would stay for two weeks. It was Summers third No. 1 hit of the year and the fourth overall No. 1 hit for Babs.
