BORO will be at home to Birmingham City as they open the 2014/15 season. Lee Clark’s Birmingham City visit the Riverside on Saturday August 9, with the first away game coming a week later at Elland Road where Boro will take on Leeds. Boro fans don’t have to wait too long for their first league trip to the New York Stadium and game against Rotherham, that comes on Saturday November 1. The first trip to Griffin Park for a league game against Brentford since 1986 is scheduled for Saturday January 31. A home game on Boxing Day brings Stuart Pearce’s Nottingham Forest to the Riverside, with a trip to Blackburn following two days later. There is no game planned for New Year’s Day as the third round of the FA Cup is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday January 3. Tuesday February 10 is the scheduled date for the trip to Blackpool. Easter Saturday brings Wigan to the Riverside; Easter Monday brings a trip to Vicarage Road and a game against Watford. The final game of the season is at home to Brighton, a game which comes a week after the final away game which comes at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
