BOTSWANA INTERNATIONAL OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT UPDATE Please receive the tournament update below; Event Venue and Date: The event is scheduled to take place over the independence holidays in Botswana from 27th –30th Sept 2014 at Legae Academy in Phase 2, Gaborone. Registration: Registration for the tournament is on-going and will close on Friday 26th September 2014 at 12 midnight. You can register through the tournament director FA Vincent Masole @ vinmasole@yahoo or +267 72542227 Chief Arbiter: The Tournament Chief Arbiter is FA Simbarashe Murimbi of Zimbabwe Playing schedule: A total of 9 rounds will be played; • 3 rounds to be played on 27th September 2014 (8am starting time) • 3 rounds on 28th September 2014 (8am starting time) • 1 round on 29th September 2014 at 6pm • 2 rounds on 30th September 2014 (8am starting time) Time Control: 90 minutes per player without increament Prizes: P10,000 first prize for prestige section and P6000 first prize for ladies section Formal updated schedule will also be shared
