BRAG BASKET FRIDAY! First, I would like to say kudos to George & Tammie Payton of Georgies Chuck Wagon in Macon for setting up shop in downtown Clarence on Thursday and doing tremendous business with their BBQ rib dinner, which exceeded their own expectations. Hopefully this is the start of some good things for Clarence, as the restaurant search continues. BTW, Georgies Chuck Wagon will be back in downtown Clarence on Thursday, July 10 from 4 to 8 PM, serving pork steaks. If there are any more food vendors interested in bringing a truck or trailer to Clarence during the lunch or dinner hours, please call SCED at (573) 822-9651. Now, on a related note, I yield the floor to Ginger Wood... A big shout out to Tims Home Center and American Family Insurance. Sunday evening with a power surge and loss of electricity, our frig died. On Monday morning, I called Shelly Yost and told her about all our damage including the frig.... Shelly said, the fridge is serious... call Arnie to see if he can fix it and if you need a new one just bring me the bill. When I got home from work, Arnie had been here and a little later, he and Susan Neely came pulling in my drive with a new fridge. Less than 30 minutes later, I was up and running again.
