BREAKING: Man in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car An early morning accident has left an Alabama man in critical condition at LSU Hospital in Shreveport. According to Waskom Police, around 5 a.m. this morning, a male passenger in a broken down 18-wheeler at Spur 156 near Waskom began to walk to a nearby gas station for help. Two other people also traveling in that 18-wheeler stayed behind at the sight of the breakdown. As the passenger was walking to the gas station, reportedly in the roadway, a man traveling to work topped a hill and struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to LSU Hospital in Shreveport, where he is listed in critical condition. At this time, no charges have been filed, however Texas DPS is still conducting an investigation into the accident. KMHT will keep you updated.
