BREAKING NEWS: 2015 to start with Manchester at Carlisle! WTF!! Huge surprise announcement on the Manchester Titans American Football Club (cheers Jonathan) As fate would only have it, the opening day of the 2015 season has been pencilled in as Manchester Titans at the new Carlisle Sentinels (April 5th, 2015 – tbc) It will be a massive honour to be part of Carlisle’s return to league football even if it means (for the first time in a 25 year old relationship) playing against them. But thats fate - so now me and my Titans are going back to the city I started playing in, on the very pitch the Carlisle Kestrels used on the first ever Sunday I went down to train – over quarter of a century ago. It couldn’t be more perfect! Really looking forward to this fixture and sure it will be an outstanding, well contested, highly competitive and deeply memorable match, on many levels. Well done to everyone up there for rebuilding football again, and all the best in 2015 for my old hometown team. This will be special; can wait to see you all especially those most pivotal (IMHO with making sure this new Carlisle team could return to league football, where they deserve to be)
