BREAKING NEWS: According to officials of Gambaru Ngala in Borno State, Nigeria, they were attacked by Boko Haram with grenades and bombs, killing at least 150 people. Officials are saying that the final death toll should be 300. The attack took place on Monday, but was just made public today around noon. Face2Face Africa reports: Boko Haram’s alleged attack was cruel and clearly meant to take as many lives as possible, with their synchronized use of rocket-propelled grenades and hand-thrown bombs in to a vibrant marketplace. And when desperate citizens ran for cover in nearby buildings, Boko Haram is said to have set fire to them, eliminating any form of refuge. Right now the United States has reportedly set up camp at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja in purely an advisory role. With this news of more being killed by Boko Haram -- and in such a vicious way -- I wonder if that role will change? This is so sad...and chilling.
