BREAKING NEWS!!! BRAZIL 2014 WORLD CUP: FRANCK RIBERY OUT OF WORLD CUP! France Winger Franck Ribery have been ruled out of the World Cup in Brazil due to a worsening back injury. Coach of Les Bleus, Didier Deschamps while addressing a press conference this afternoon announced that Ribery suddenly stopped during a run this morning while in training and couldnt train again. A test was immediately conducted which revealed that his back injury has got worse and he couldnt make it. Ribery’s injury was the second injury blow that France suffered today, as Olympique Lyonnais playmaker Clement Grenier was said to have aggravated a thigh problem, which he has been copping with in the latter part of the just concluded season, leading to him to also withdraw from the squad. Deschamps revealed that he has already called up Montpellier’s Remy Cabella as Riberys replacement and also Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin as Clement Greniers replacement. Real Sociedads Antoine Griezmann is expected to take Riberys place in Deschamps’ starting XI. This is indeed a MASSIVE BLOW for France going to the World Cup..... So so sad...
