BREAKING NEWS: Port Alberni RCMP are searching for a woman who robbed a 10th Avenue business at gunpoint yesterday afternoon. At 4:19 pm, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Krush Smoothie & Juice bar located in the 4200 block of 10th Avenue. A lone female entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded cash. After a brief struggle between the employee and the female, the robber fled on foot southbound on 10th Avenue. Police arrived within minutes, set up a perimeter and contained the area. The Police Dog Service established the female’s route of travel but was unable to locate her. The suspect is described as: Caucasian female Approximately 5’6 Slim to average build Brown hair in a pony tail Wearing black yoga pants, white Nike shirt, brown Budweiser hat, and black sunglasses. Anyone who was in the area of 10th Avenue and Roger street, and may of witnessed this female fleeing the location or matching the description, are asked to contact the local RCMP Detachment at (250)723-2424 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
