BREAKING NEWS!!!! THIS JUST IN!!!! Insulin pumps are NOT an artificial pancreas! They do NOT do everything for you! In fact, the do NOTHING for you. They are manually controlled. You still have to test blood sugars, count carbs, and put said numbers into insulin pump. It will then, thanks to the efforts of our good friend the bolus wizard, compute the amount of insulin you need. You then push the buttons to administer the insulin. These steps do make life easier, but they do not magically happen. It is still a lot of work. That is all. End transmission.
