BREAKING NEWS United Fans Threaten To Follow Hometown Clubs 11/1/2015 0 Comments Written by Michael Fearnhead Manchester United are facing a fan backlash this evening in the wake of the abysmal 1-0 defeat to Southampton. United failed to register a single shot on goal in the entire match and looked like a side struggling with confidence and bereft of ideas. Now it appears that a growing group of disgruntled season ticket holders have decided enough is enough and have issued an ultimatum to club bosses. Thesingingsection have caught up with the group spokesman Kieran Colman to discuss the reasons behind the breakaway group. We are no longer a force in English football, we are no longer an attraction and we are no longer feared. This is something every United fan has to come to terms with now. For this we now demand that ticket prices are reduced to reflect the drop in quality we are now accustomed to. Everybody in this group has travelled for at least three hours to be here today and we have all paid over £1000 for our season tickets. There were empty seats scattered around the stadium today and there will be more unless the club refund part of our season tickets. If they dont then I will be watching MK Dons next week until they drop the prices. I did not start following United 20 years ago to endure these low points. I could have just supported my hometown club Its clear that the revolt is starting to gather pace with a facebook page reaching 5,000 likes within two hours of going live. The campaigns official title we can now confirm is We are hometown until prices comedown. The hashtag #wearehometown has trended quickly since the campaign was announced. This now poses an unneeded problem for the club on the back of poor performances over the Christmas and New Year period putting their Champions League aspirations in serious doubt and casting doubts over whether Louis Van Gaal can stop the rot setting in quickly at Old Trafford.
