BREAKING NEWS in ANDA, BOHOL..... It happened last week at Barangay Linawan, Anda, Bohol. Between Barangay Kagawad Ompad and his wife DepEd teacher Maam Ompad (sorry i dont know their first name) First of all, I am posting this not because I am INVADING there privacy, as a couple but because of my advocacy towards Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)... The other week a very traumatic experience happened to maam Ompad. She received several punches coming from her husband Barangay kagawad Ompad, it has seen all over her body the bruises that resulted from that incident.. The trauma from that experience really affected her a lot.. THE BIG QUESTION, HOW was it resolved? According to the people of the said barangay, both were called by the Barangay Captain Amoguis for them to settle it. BUT how did she (Barangay Captain) did the process of solving it? 1.) First, who were there during the discussion? Was the discussion written into minutes? Was there a one sided action, since the barangay Captain and kagawad Ompad are KaPARTIDO? Was the resolution fair enough? Was there JUSTICE? Answer: Only the three of them were there (Brgy. Chairman, Kagawad Ompad, and maam Ompad). I think the barangay secretary must be present to take down the minutes and even the Committee Chairman on Family, Women and Children must be present too... It was made Inato by the Brgy. Chairman Amoguis, for it not to spread what happen, but was there justice? I Think No BECAUSE the act that was done is injustice itself and I do believe that women should be respected and not be treated that way even though what the reason of their argument/fight. I was hoping for a proper action must be made... Im calling the LGU of Anda epecially the concerned sector, to take some action because what has been done in the barangay level is not right and enough.. DILG Mr. Clyde Ebojo, please take action on this especially the concern person is a goverment official... To the Mayor of Anda, I know that both the Captain and kagawad Ompad of Linawan is under your political party but please do the right action on this.. A year and a half in service,and you are promoting matuwid na daan Praying that with this kind of problem, i hope you would also entertain because this must not be repeated or even another person will experience such incident. Bigyang Hustisya, managot ang dapat managot at di dapat takpan kung ano ang mali kasi baka ito matularan ng mga bata at sa susunod na henerasyon kagaya ng pagtakip ng kanilang Barangay Captain Amoguis. .... Please share... Dapat ito makarating sa mga tao na nasa posisyon.. dapat gumawa sila ng hakbang di lng naghihintay ng sweldo...
