BREAKING THE SILENCE !!!!!!!!!!!! Ekweremadu, Nnaji, Utazi presented to INEC as Enugu PDP Senatorial candidates. FINALLY PDP, has forwarded the names of the Deputy President of the Senate, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Gilbert Nnaji and Barrister Chuka Utazi to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the party’s Senatorial Candidates for Enugu West, Enugu East and Enugu North respectively. A reliable source Friday that the names of the party’s candidates for the National Assembly election holding in February 2015 were submitted to the electoral body Thursday night. This has brought to an end the long wait by the people of the state for the unveiling of the authentic candidates that emerged from the parallel primaries held by the National Assembly aspirants in some of the federal constituencies. Also submitted for the eight House of Representatives seats in the state; were Chime Oji (Enugu North/Enugu South), Hon. Princess Peace Nnaji (Nkanu East/ Nkanu West), Hon. Kingsley Ebenyi (Enugu East/ Isiuzo), Hon. Toby Okechukwu (Aninri/Awgu/Oji River), Mr. Dennis Amadi (Udi/Ezeagu), Hon. Stella Ngwu (Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani), Engr. Ikechukwu Ugwuegede (Nsukka/Igboeze South) and Mr. Dennis Agbo (Igboeze North/Udenu). Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyis name has also been submitted. Reliably, some of the losers in the stiff contest for the PDP’s ticket had on Friday returned to Enugu and briefed members of their campaign organizations on the need to fight on either through the courts or on the platform of other political parties. According to sources, two of the outgoing National Assembly members who could not secure the return tickets, have already informed their supporters of their preference to join another platform.
