#BRIDALREQUEST! Can you help? We have a bridal request: I got engaged in July and my cousin got engaged four days later. I thought it would be all exciting us planning our days together, however she has been very secretive about everything, even though she has asked me to be a bridesmaid... Everything has been hush hush between her and her Mum. My fiancé and I have to save up for our own wedding and therefore have to wait until 2016. My cousin is having her wedding paid for by her parents so she is getting married Autumn next year. I showed my family the venue my fiancé and I fell in love with - and they said I should look at a cheaper option closer to home because other guests wouldnt want to travel all that way, and that a two year engagement was too long. The venue I chose is 5 minutes from where my cousin has picked! Yes my fiancé and I are paying our own way, but we do not want to settle for a cheaper option closer to home so we can have it earlier than 2016. This evening I requested that she didnt pick a song my fiancé and I have chosen for our first dance and she said tough, we have already chosen that. I feel my family want her wedding to be the best, and they dont care about how they are making me feel by doing this. I have tried asking politely but they dont seem to care who or what they trample on to get my cousins wedding to be the best. It is pushing me to not even want to be bridesmaid. What can I do?
