BRISBANE AND SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND CURRRENT 4:30PM UPDATE Rain and thunderstorms continue to impact Brisbane area and further north towards the Sunshine coast. A severe thunderstorm remains in force for damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall for people in parts of the Somerset, Southern Downs, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay Council Areas. Further severe storm cells are developing to the south west and into north east NSW and may continue to move east north east and impact Toowoomba, Gold coast, Ipswich and Brisbane region over the coming 2 to 3 hours. The cell near the NSW/Qld border currently is showing potential to be a very dangerous storm as it heads east to north east and may contain destructive winds as well as large hail and heavy rainfall. Rainfall so far in Qld with these storms today.
