BRITTANY MAYNARD: A 29-year-old woman has passed away in her Oregon home after a battle with terminal cancer. Brittany Maynard became an advocate for patients right to end their lives peacefully after her diagnosis. She had moved to Oregon from California to avail herself of the states Death With Dignity Act. In a statement posted to their Facebook page, advocacy group Compassion & Choices said Brittany passed away peacefully in her bed surrounded by close family and loved ones.
