BUDGET BOOSTER: With the price of food skyrocketing, it is even more important to save where we can. This time of year is a good time to begin to take inventory of what you have in your freezer and pantry. Spring cleaning is on our minds and its a great time to clean out and reorganize your pantry and freezer, as well. Get rid of out dated items and restock as items go on sale. Buying in bulk is normally a good way to buy, but not always. It is a big convenience though to have things on hand. The excess can be vaccum sealed for later use - things like flours, rice, dry beans, oats, etc. Always compare prices per unit. This is also a good time of year to re-organize your home canned items. Use oldest items first and rotate, so items get used and to avoid waste. Soon produce items will be available for home-canning and freezing.
