More than 12,000 young Bulgarians are getting ready to leave Bulgaria this year. This is the number of young Bulgarians, who have asked for legalisation of their diplomas for secondary and higher education, Monitor daily writes, citing figures from the Ministry of Education. The number, however, is expected to increase by the end of the year, as the document processing continues. The bigger part of the young Bulgarians will head at the western universities. Some 6,301 Bulgarians have asked for legalisation of the high school diplomas, which means that the Bulgarian universities are about to face a serious challenge. The number of vacancies at the universities in Bulgaria is 77,000, while the number of school graduates is smaller – 59,000. According to the ministry of education, some 5,897 young people have asked for legalisation of their university diplomas, which means that they plan to leave to work abroad.
