BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE - Ngarkat Message Issued: 13:25 16/01/2014 CFS are attending an ongoing scrub fire in the Ngarkat Conservation Park in the Upper South East, east of the Kirra Homestead and abutting the South Australian and Victorian Border. Crews are on scene and actively fighting the fire. The fire is traveling in a southerly direction toward the Mount Shaw Conservation Park. The Ngarkat Road (Bordertown to Pinnaroo Road) has been closed to all traffic. Smoke and embers will be visible from the Ngarkat Conservation Park and from the Ngarkat Road. Smoke from the Ngarkat fire is drifting across the Dukes Highway. Stay tuned to this radio station on a battery-powered radio for updates.
