JOHN 5:39---THOSE THAT SEEK ME EARLY SHALL FIND ME. PROVERBS 8:17---THE LORD IS GOOD UNTO THEM THAT WAIT FOR HIM, TO THE SOUL THAT SEEKETH HIM. ROMANS 10:16---SO THEN FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD ROMANS10:17--------unfortunately i have to add a little. i think the scripture clearly states that reading the bible to retain and understand is something God deffinately wants us to do. but the Word is not written as such that you can read it from cover to cover and have a complete understanding. some scriptures need to be read with certain overviews. i read sometimes looking for scriptures that speak of His second coming. i seek scriptures that have snapshot views. views that are necessary for right then and prophetic for now. God, in every scripture, multitasks. if you read the Word every day for a year, you will see what i mean. retention comes from diligent reading. those words put together in the bible, first off are alive and current. secondly, those words, which are put together by God Himself, equals God in pen. in written form, but is necessary to have the guidance of the Holy Spirit to understand. and that diligence to read, even if you say to yourself, i know this part, read it anyway. you will begin to see what i am referring to. the book comes alive. it becomes a portal into Gods wisdom. to see through Gods eyes, to gain enlightenment from the Holy Spirit is exciting. and to see and feel that guidance is almost unexplainable. its just really, really exciting. but you have to read His Word every day. and i dont mean a verse or a chapter. take your time, commit yourself to that constant reading. sometimes when i read, its like being at the movies. thats really cool when that happens. cause before you know it, youve read 10 to 12 chapters and did a lot of cross referencing to better understand it. also, read with a thought of your searching. seek for verses that speak of His return. seek those scriptures that reflect prophecy in those snapshot views. ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, pray for the understanding, pray for a strong desire to seek Him in His Word, ask to find Him, and pray that your faith will be increased. God will answer those prayers with a loud and resounding yes. but............. you need to start reading every day. if you do that you should eventually begin reading scriptures over and over again. thats the point you need to start from. gain that by being diligent to read and watch how He rewards you. are you one of those millions of christians who claim to love God, but refuse to seek Him through the one book that He wrote. He wrote that for us. thats how much He loves us. God comes with a complete instruction manual. READ IT !!!!! please dont go through life being one of those christians who dont have time for bible reading. make time for it. make time for it every day. at least once a day, if not more. when you do, the Holy Spirit will compel you to seek Him even more. this is really an exciting plain to be with on the lord. a really exciting, safe, faith increasing, getting to know God personally, place to be. let God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have their perfect work in your life. i hope this encourages you to seek God out with your whole heart and that you find Him. be obedient, read His Word !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
