Baby Eva is 12 weeks old today. She is now taking about 1/2 her required calories by mouth per day. The doctors here are going to give her another week or so to mature, but have expressed to us that we need to start considering that she may need to come home with a G tube (gastronomy tube: a tube inserted into the abdomen to allow nutrients to be delivered directly to the stomach). The reasons for her sluggish progress are still not known , and we are just hoping that this is not a symptom of a larger problem.
