Baby J & Georgia, My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and I adore him and his family, but this weekend all my best friends from college are getting together for a girls only party (the same day his family is having a barbeque) Its been 3 years since I seen my girls, & I really want to spend time with them! My boyfriend says Im selfish because his parents invited us before I knew about the girls get-together. I dont want to fight with him over this, & I dont want his parents to think Im not interested in being with his family, but at the same time, I feel like he should understand that I havent seen my girls in forever. How should I handle this? I said I would go for an hour and then spend the rest of the day with the girls but Im worried hell try to lay a guilt trip on me & get me to stay. Please help, Im really torn up about what I should do.
