Air Attack 999FG and helitack 973 responded. Upon arrival Air Attack reported a one acre fire burning in mixed hardwoods and spruce with one road accessable cabin imminently threatened and multiple other cabins in the vicinity. Two Forestry engines responded and a load of retardant was requested. The helitack crew walked into the fire while 973 worked the fire with buckets. Due to duty day limitations, T-44 was unable to drop. The fire was burning very deep and personnel worked into the early morning to secure the line. Containment is estimated for the afternoon of 6/26. The fire was caused by a debris burn that appeared to have been burning for quite some time.
