Back at the end of July, I looked at the upcoming August schedule and made a prediction that the Dodgers should go 19-10. Not only was I ridiculed by the haters, but they turned around and said the Dodgers were likely to go 10-19! There were hashtags by Giants fans saying "StillFighting" and D-,Back fans were still convinced they could catch the Dodgers in that month. Well fast forward to today...The hashtags for Giants fans are gone and the D-Backs are talking Wild Card, instead of NL West! Not only did the Dodgers exceed my expectations, but they just had the greatest month of August in Los Angeles history! They finished the month at 23-6!! So going into September, here is where we stand. The Giants and Padres, each, have an elimination number of 8, 20 games out, while the Rockies are at 10. The Diamondbacks are also closer to elimination with a magic number of 18! Since I already eliminated the Rockies, Padres, and Giants earlier this month, my focus is on Arizona with 7 games this month remaining with them. This month MAY be tough, as the Dodgers have not played well against teams in their division. However, if the Dodgers manage to go 14-13 the remaining games, they will finish with a 94-68 mark.
