Back from SEMA 2013. Things I have noted: 1. I used to walk... and walk fast from opening to closing. This time, I could barely walk at the end of the day. Getting old sucks. 2. I was in bed by 9:30pm. In Las Vegas. Getting old sucks. 3. I was feeling sorry for myself as my left arm/shoulder (something is messed up.. getting old sucks) was hurting a lot when carrying my backpack. Then I kept running into a guy without a left arm. I told myself to quit whining. 4. Show was very crowded. More so than I recall from previous years. Traffic in and out at opening/closing was a nightmare. 5. Lots of new exhibitors, many were in very sad locations that few people even knew existing. I felt sorry for them. Even Whelen was stuck over in Las Vegas Hilton booth area. 6. Really not much new in the new product showcase...I saw mostly stuff that looked a lot like stuff from last year. I think more people are realizing that the New Product Showcase is a good marketing opportunity. 7. Best moment of the show... at OSGiken booth, my lip was starting to bleed from being chapped. Sean @ OS Giken was handing out chapstick. Best freebie swag of the show! 8. Great running into many people I knew. But not as many as when I had a booth there. 9. Autosport in UK, and PRI in Indy are better (more focused) shows.
