Back from my vacation after the long drawn election, looking forward to new beginnings and new things. Came back to reality, didnt want to watch the news or read the papers, but couldnt help myself and was bombarded with the most terrible stories of rape and death. What have we as human beings come to , will our children ever be safe, a school is a second home for our children, we pack them off each morning to spend the day in the safe learning environment, while we go about our daily chores, awaiting their return to tell us happy tales of what they did in school, but what happened to that little girl in a posh supposedly reputed school in Bangalore shocked me, and what was worse when the school refused to take the responsibility. What has happened to us as people...... We have to stop a moment and ask ourselves what has changed so much today that we are unable to give our kids the same safe surroundings we grew up In?
