Back home from NJMP. Beautiful weather, great group of drivers who kept it on track, respected our rules and made the best of not ideal circumstances. MS1 is still overheating, so we decided to send it out until it spiked and then bleed it and send it out again. After about 4 of these sessions, our new guy (Andrew) took it out and didnt rev over 4500rpm - it didnt overheat. With that knowledge, we adjusted the style in that car and everyone got some practice in momentum preservation. MS2 didnt skip a beat in spite of me getting punted off track from behind in the last session Saturday. I dont know where we finished, and I really dont care. We had 7 drivers, one of whom had never run with us before and we ran pretty clean, all got our fill of time in the car and MS2 is ready for CMP in 6 weeks. Derek cooked MS1 in the last stint, taking the checker and then having the car die on pit lane and refuse to re-start. Why do I love the 5SFE? Let it cool down, fired right up and sounds healthy. Pretty sures got a blown head gasket based on the new information and shes also spewing oil all over the transaxle. Just going to swap it out for the engine in the Celica I have here, but its no rush. Good weekend with good folks. Hope to run with them all again.
