Back in 1983 My sister Karen Moretti Lang and I tried walking across the Dam in East Pembroke it was early spring when the water was really moving (my bright idea btw) we made it about half way across when I bent over to tie my boot and I went over..According to my Sister I was under water for quite awhile but somehow made it over to the bank but my fingers and wrist were pretty messed up and I was freezing to death. Karen just froze and couldnt move as she was scared to death at what she just witnessed (she thought I was gone...especially after I just told her before I went over that if you fell over this Dam into this water you would be dead....EPFD did a ladder rescue to reach Karen and I was roped up to safety....I just wanted to share this story with you all because if not for Brian Fix my sister and I may not be here today he heard our screams for help and went and got help....R.I.P. my friend, you will be missed
