Back in the 1990s I stopped in one day at the United Way in Beaumont, TX, where former OHS Band Director Terry Bourdier worked at the time, and visited with him. I told him that if he didnt mind, I would love to borrow the film reels of the UIL marching band contests for the four years that I was in high school and have them converted over to VHS tape so I could have my own copy. He loaned them to me, and I had them converted over. Fast forwarding now to July of 2014, I took the now old and outdated VHS tapes that Ive had in my possession all these years and had them converted over to CD so I could publish them to YouTube. I figured that Im possibly the only person who has a video of these four UIL marching contests and that I need to share them with everybody else. So heres the one from 1977.
