*** Back to School - Featured App *** (3.99–>0.99) Mandela – History is an app designed to teach children about the amazing life of Nelson Mandela In a format that they can comprehend. The app is narrated throughout, and children can choose to pull down a screen with the text or not. The app has historically accurate information, while making the material appropriate and interesting by using sound effects and cartoon-style animations, but not in a silly style. This app covers Nelson Mandela’s life from when he was a child to when he was in prison , all the way to when to the completion of his presidency. I was very impressed at how well the app explained concepts like apartheid in a way that children could understand. This app had a link to another app at the start, but it was this app. Also, there is a link to the Facebook page of the developer. All other links were secured. There are no ads or IAPs.
