Back to civilization at last! At Biloela in motel tonight but relaxing at Services Club before dinner at Heritage Village. Lots of dramas for Why Not with Ross getting kiwi man flu with complications and having to be flown out of Windorah by the RFDS on Wed. Spoke with him yesterday and he is in good hands in Charleville Hospital. The car has had problems with front suspension. The left side lower control arm pin busted on way to Cameron Corner so we were towed the last hundred klms after 2 hour wait for the sweep vehicle. Car was temp fixed by Army that night but a local property owner had a replacement so the rally mechanics worked on it the next morning. We then headed for Betoota only to break the same thing on the right side! Another tow to camp where Army worked on temp weld. All during this Ross was getting more sick so we shipped him out for treatment. Fortunately there are a few extra bodies from other broken cars so I was able to have a new Navi Aaron for rest of rally. However the car needs to be nursed so we are doing the cruise course. Tomorrow we cross the finish line in Bundy & Im determined to get her across even if I have to push her over the line!
