We hear so many stories of recruitment agencies in the Philippines that are only looking for the girls money. It puts them in a vulnerable situation. They come here in debt and can also be in a dependent relationship with recruitment person, she says. 82 percent of the nonresident au pairs come originally from the Philippines. The Filipino au pair agencies are not recognized by the authorities. This means that there is no oversight of the agencies, and the au pairs can not go no place to go to complain about each curves.
