Aniceto Sobrepeña, Metrobank president, said Bautista joins the elite group of 316 outstanding teachers of the Philippines honored by Metrobank Foundation since the search began in 1985. He said the search has given recognition to the country’s best teachers who have served as models of excellence and personal integrity to the community and the country. “These teachers have been shining examples of dedication and commitment to the teaching profession, and as such the pride of their respective communities,” Sobrepeña said. He added Region I has produced eight awardees to date. Bautista and nine other awardees this year will be presented to the leaders of the business community, top-level government officials and academe in an awarding ceremony on September 5 at the Metrobank Plaza Auditorium in Makati City.
