Bad Words. I finally got into my first preview for the year. Its a great one. This is a very funny, smart movie. Jason Bateman has chosen a great idea and story and delivered a solid angry guy with a heart of gold comedy. His kid co-star, Rohan Chand, is brilliant in his role, very earnest, lovable, and sharply funny. It finds a way to put in some sappy emotion without getting too soggy and stupid; just enough so you dont have to feel terribly guilty about laughing at all the being mean to kids bits. And there are some insane ones. It brought me back to that great Raising Arizona moment when the evil biker shot the lizard off of a rock. For some reason that brought tears to my eyes from laughing so hard. Go see it....without the kids.....
