Baluchistan Earthquake: Hundreds dead in AWARAN homes after an earthquake. The Development Organization for Community (DOC) is conducting rescue and relief work in Awaran District in light of the catastrophic 7.7 magnitude earthquake that took place in Baluchistan province on 24 September 2013. Thousands of houses now lay in a pile of rubble, affecting over 300,000 people, while at least 500 people are being presumed dead, with 745 injured. The people have been deprived of all basic necessities of life like food, shelter, water etc. As a Human, we must stand united in such a time of crisis and do whatever we can to save lives of the children, women and families affected by this disaster.
