Bangladesh Academy T-20 Cup from March 9→ Sports Reporter The four-day long Bangladesh Academy Twenty20 Cup, organized by three former national cricketers and sponsored by Four H Group, will begin from March 9 at Mirpur City Club ground. For the first time ever an Academy T-20 Cup is going to be held. However, former Bangladesh national team skipper, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selector and Bangladesh Academy Cup president Habibul Bashar Sumon shared his words during a press conference on Wednesday, ahead of Bangladesh Academy T20 Cup. “The academy cricketers can not gain opportunity to play a high profile game. Therefore, we have taken a step to boost up them. The tournament will be more stunning including several icon and premier league cricketers,” Bashar said. Bangladesh Academy Cup vice-president and former national cricketer Sanwar Hossain, Hasanujjaman Jhoru and Javed Omar Belim were also present during the press meet. Icon cricketers like Alok Kapali, Elias Sunny, Talha Jubair, Mehrab Hossain Jnr, Sharifullah, Tareq Aziz Khan, Md. Sharif and Syed Russel will participate in the tournament. Total 8 teams, including two outsiders from the capital, will take part in this knock-out tourney. The eight teams are: Body Line Cricket Coaching Academy Dhanmondi, Discovery Cricket Coaching Academy Dhanmondi, Indoor Cricket Coaching Academy Dhanmondi, City Club Cricket Coaching Academy Mirpur, Siraz Four H Sports Academy Chittagong, Learn Cricket Coaching Academy Dhanmondi, T.K Sports Cricket Coaching Academy Mirpur and Narayanganj Cricket Coaching Academy.
